TWO STRIP ROLL FEED

COMPENSATES FOR STOCK THICKNESSES

04-05-00wpe09152.gif (58809 bytes)A roll feed featuring two top rolls that can run two strips of varying thicknesses simultaneously at high speeds is available from Waddington Electronics, of Cranston, Rhode Island.

PRF LD Series Twin Top Roll Feeds feature separate 2" dia. top rolls with independent suspensions that provide a positive grip on two strips simultaneously, regardless of variations in stock thickness. Requiring only 1/16" spacing between the edges of two 6" wide strips up to .078" thick, this twin top roll feed operates at up to 400 SPM and can also handle one 12" wide strip.

Built for high reliability, PRF LD Series Twin Top Roll Feeds have heavy duty dowel pinned frames, two sets of anti-backlash gears between the top and bottom rolls, and are driven by a brushless servo motor with brushless resolver feedback. Feed lengths can range from .001" to 665" with +.002" accuracy; +.0005" optional. A programmable gag tooling controller is optional.
