An ultrasonic liquid or solids level controller that operates without contact to measure levels behind coating knives, in tanks, down pipes, and other reservoirs to control devices such as pumps and valves is being introduced by Waddington Electronics, Inc. of Cranston, Rhode Island.
The SONA-TROLŪ Ultrasonic Level Controller features a sensor head which can detect changes down to .006" over a 48" distance or within 1" up to 20 feet over the surface. Eliminating floats, switches, and hardware subject to wear and corrosion, this noncontacting level controller can provide digital or analog readouts, 0 to 10 vdc or 4 to 20 mA outputs, and be equipped with circuits to detect false signals and compensate for surface rippling.
Ideal for use with liquids, slurries and solids, The SONA-TROLŪ Ultrasonic Level Controller has an electrically isolated sensor, adjustable gain and receiver sensitivity, and distance zero offset. Incorporating a standard oil-tight JIC enclosure, sensors can be constructed from stainless steel or fiberglass and be equipped with a purge box for hazardous environments.
Literature and OEM pricing are available upon request.
