A new family of press feeds for medium speed applications with materials up to .125" thick and 7" to 25" wide is being introduced by Waddington Electronics, Inc. of Cranston, Rhode Island.

PRF MD Series Servo-Driven Roll Feeds feature 3" dia. rolls with anti-backlash gears between the top and bottom rolls to increase the stock gripping force, and closed-loop resolver feedback. Developed for materials up to .125" thick and 8" to 36" wide, running at speeds up to 800 strokes/min., they permit users to define their own accuracy and speed requirements.

Providing standard +.001" tolerances, PRF MD Series Servo-Driven Roll Feeds include the following standard features: Job storage, kevlar timing belt, dowel pinned frame, anti-friction ball bearings, air-operated pilot release, and an RS232 computer interface. Options include electronic cam switches, and die protection systems.

  Literature is available upon request.
