SERVO-DRIVEN ROLL FEED

FUNCTIONS AS REFERENCE FEEDER

A servo-driven roll feed with a super accuracy option that is laser doppler calibrated to function as a tool room reference feeder for precision stampings from 3" to 24" W is being introduced by Waddington Electronics, Inc. of Cranston, Rhode Island.

The PRF Tool Room Reference Feeder is a servo-driven roll feed that features a super accuracy option consisting of a special control panel and bearings to provide accuracies to +.0002" non accumulative error on feed length. Capable of 800 SPM operation, this feeder is designed for precision parts from 3" to 24" wide.

Providing quick setup capabilities and on-the-fly length changes, the PRF Tool Room Reference Feeder features push-button control of feed length, speed and acceleration, with remote jogging control. It is powered by a brushless servo motor with brushless resolver feedback and incorporates a zero-backlash drive train.
