ROLL FEEDMAXIMIZES MATERIAL USAGE04-04-00 A fully programmable, precision roll feed that features a zig-zag action which actually moves the material forward and back-and forth, rather than just forward, to maximize material usage and cut waste is being introduced by Waddington Electronics, Inc. of Cranston, Rhode Island. The Waddington Zig-Zag Roll Feed moves material back-and forth in addition to forward at up to 600 strokes per minute and up to 50 lanes. Featuring a high performance brushless AC servo motor, belt drive, and linear guide ways to position the feed with .002" accuracy, this feed has an aircraft-grade aluminum feed body, which is hexagonally undercut to save weight, and incorporates resolver feedback and permanently lubricated bearings. Fully programmable for diagonal- and forward bridge amount, pattern angle and offset, number of lanes, lane shift, speed and acceleration, X-Y jog, and more, the Waddington Zig Zag Roll Reed has a simulation mode to simplify setup. Available in models for strip from 3" to 24" wide up to .093" thick, the servo motors offered range from 1 kW to 10 kW and other standard features include keyless mountings of drive components. Literature and price quotations are available upon request. |
